Right · PointAdvanced3–8 ftApr – Sep

A punchy, hollow point break on Peru's southern coast, Señoritas delivers fast, powerful walls with a genuine tube section when the swell lines up. It works best on S to SW groundswell in the 3-8ft range, with offshore winds from the E to SE and low to mid tide producing the cleanest conditions. This is an experienced surfer's wave: the take-off is quick, the sections can pinch fast, and the rocks and urchins below are unforgiving for anyone out of position. Bottom: reef/point. Season: austral autumn through winter (Apr-Sep). Consistency: reliable when swell is running. Weekdays see a manageable crew, weekends can pack the lineup to the point where wave-sharing breaks down entirely, so time your visit accordingly.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Locals police the lineup, and they will enforce it. Drop-ins are not tolerated and will shut you out of the session. Multiple take-off zones exist, but priority is real here. On weekends it gets genuinely over-crowded. Dawn patrol on weekdays is the practical move for traveling surfers. Paddle out with patience, sit wide until you read the rotation, and earn your waves.

Access & Facilities

Reasonably accessible from the main road along Peru's southern coast. Seafood nearby at local spots is worth tracking down. Watch the entry and exit carefully: rocks and urchins are present and can cause serious foot and ankle injuries. Bring booties if your feet are not conditioned to reef exits.

Nearby Alternatives

Peru's southern coast has additional point breaks within a short drive that pick up similar S and SW swell. If Señoritas is maxed out or the crowd is unworkable, checking adjacent points along the coast can reward patience. A local guide service familiar with the region will open more doors than any map.
