What we collect

When you submit an inquiry, we collect:

• Name and email address
• Travel dates, group size, and skill level
• Optional notes you include
• IP address (for rate limiting, not stored long-term)

If you complete the optional profile after submitting, we also collect departure city, airport, travel insurance status, and trip frequency.

How we use it

• Inquiry routing: We forward your inquiry to the surf camp(s) you selected. Your email is shared with the camp so they can reply directly.
• Profile enrichment: Optional profile data helps us suggest relevant camps, flights, and insurance in future.
• Marketing (opt-in only): If you tick the marketing checkbox, we may send pre-trip checklists, gear recommendations, and partner offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Analytics: We use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the service.

Third-party services

• Supabase (database, Singapore region): stores your inquiry and profile data.
• Resend (email delivery): sends inquiry emails on our behalf.
• Vercel (hosting): serves the website.
• Mapbox (maps): renders interactive maps. No personal data shared.
• Stripe (payments): processes camp subscription payments. We do not store card details.

Data retention

Inquiry data is retained for 2 years. Surfer profiles are retained until you request deletion. Email delivery event logs (open/click tracking) are retained for 90 days.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@surftrips.co. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions. No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking pixels.

Lawful basis

We process inquiry data under contract (you asked us to forward your inquiry). Marketing emails are processed under consent (opt-in checkbox). Camp outreach is processed under legitimate interest (connecting surfers with relevant camps).
