We built SurfTrips because we got sick of guessing. Sick of refreshing Instagram, opening twelve tabs, and emailing camps that never wrote back. We wanted one place that told us where the wave actually works this month, who runs the spot, and how to book it without losing a weekend to spreadsheets.
So we made it. No ads, no kickbacks, no Tripadvisor-style noise. Just camps we'd actually stay at, breaks we'd actually paddle out on, and the kind of straight talk you'd get from a mate who's been there. If we don't know a place yet, we say so.
The crew
Three mates who've been chasing waves long enough to have strong opinions about which ones are worth the flight. We split the work how we'd split a charter: someone's on dawnies, someone's running the kitchen, someone's checking the forecast.

Born and raised on Sydney's Northern Beaches but shaped by the heavy slabs of the South Coast, Guy is a film composer, recording artist, and passionate big-wave surfer. From Jaws to Tahiti, he's constantly chasing the next swell and capturing the magic along the way. At SurfTrips.co, Guy leads content production, helping surf camps showcase their unique experiences through high-quality video, photography, and storytelling.
A few promises
- We'll tell you the truth about a wave. If it's soft and playful, we'll say so. If it'll snap your board, we'll say that too.
- We won't blow up secret spots. Famous breaks are fair game. The quiet ones stay quiet. That's just how it works.
- No paid placements pretending to be picks. If we recommend a camp, we've stayed there or know someone who has.
- No star-rating spam, no anonymous comment battles. If something needs saying, email us and we'll look into it.
