Consistency: high. Access is boat-only, so time your sessions at dawn before the charter fleet anchors up and the crowd builds through mid-morning.

Boat-only access. Most surfers arrive on multi-day Mentawai charters out of Padang. There is no parking, no shore facilities, and no land-based access. Bring reef booties if your feet are sensitive, carry your own water and snacks, and keep a first-aid kit on board for reef cuts.
When Telescopes is blown out or maxed, the Playground zone offers several options within a short boat ride. Ebay and Nipussi are both nearby lefts that can fire in similar swell windows. Bank Vaults and Scarecrows round out the area for days when you want a change of pace.
