A playful right pointbreak on the north side of Sagone's town beach, this wave wakes up when a strong Mistral pushes swell into the bay on Corsica's west coast. It needs SW to NW swell in the 2-6ft range, with easterly offshores to clean things up. Consistency is low, so timing your visit around a genuine wind event is essential rather than just showing up and hoping. The easy, rolling nature of the wave suits all abilities, but intermediates will get the most from the longer sections when it connects. Bottom: point over mixed. Season: autumn through winter when Mistral events are most frequent. Consistency: low. Crowds are light given how rarely it fires, but the beach draws locals on good days, so respect the lineup when you score it.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Localism is not a known issue here. The spot's low consistency keeps the lineup thin, and most days you will share it with a handful of locals at most. Dawn patrol timing is still worth the habit when a Mistral swell materialises.

Access & Facilities

Sagone is a small coastal town on Corsica's west coast, reachable by road from Ajaccio. A carpark sits near the beach, with restroom facilities available. No significant hazards or pollution concerns reported.

Nearby Alternatives

If Sagone is flat, Arone to the north offers an easy beachbreak when west swell is running. South of town, La Liscia picks up more direct NW exposure and delivers punchier shorebreak peaks when the swell has size.
