Both the inside and outside sandbar sections stay active across seasons, making this a flexible session regardless of swell size. Bottom: Sand. The boardwalk stairs down to the beach are the main hazard, so watch your footing, especially carrying a board.

Large paved parking lot west of the break off Old Highway 98 East. Bathrooms and showers on site. The boardwalk stairs down to the sand are the one hazard worth flagging, particularly on the way back up with a waterlogged board.
The Emerald Coast has consistent beach break running in both directions along Highway 98. When Pompano Joe's is blown out onshore, check further east or west for any angle of bank that might be picking up a cleaner corner.
