A punchy, shallow beach break on Satellite Beach that handles larger swells better than most spots between Patrick Air Force Base and Boardwalk in Indialantic. Coquina and worm rock shelves anchor the sand, creating a bottom contour that stays organized when nearby spots shut down. Best on NE to ENE swell at low to mid tide, with a W wind to clean up the face. Size range runs from waist-high up to 3ft overhead, and the wave picks up real speed and steepness at low tide. Intermediate surfers and up will feel at home here. Crowds are moderate on weekdays and can pack out on weekends, though the local vibe stays mellow. Bottom: sand and coquina/worm rock. Season: fall through spring, with hurricane swell windows. Consistency: average, shifts with sand movement. Watch the worm rock on the paddle-out, it will find your shins before you find it.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Weekday sessions run quiet with only a handful of surfers. Weekends attract more of a crowd, especially when swell is up. The lineup is welcoming overall and reportedly low on localism. Lots of younger surfers here who know how to surf, so do not mistake the relaxed vibe for a slow lineup.

Access & Facilities

Access via a public beach ramp just south of the A1A-Pineda Causeway. Parking is very limited, so arrive early. The spot sits near the former Perkins restaurant site, also known locally as Lums. No major facilities on site. Water quality runs clean.

Nearby Alternatives

RC's, just to the north, is the better-known option along this stretch and handles similar swell windows, though it draws more consistent crowds. Boardwalk in Indialantic is worth checking when Perkins is not cooperating and a different sand bank setup is needed.
