A tabletop reef and shifting sandbar squeeze out a small left point on Florida's Palm Beach County coast, working best on NNE to NE swell at incoming to high tide. Offshore winds run WNW, and the sweet spot is waist to head-high. Anything with real size overwhelms the outside sections and triggers strong longshore currents that make paddling back nearly impossible. Intermediate surfers will find an occasional reward here, but the wave is genuinely fickle and several beachbreaks to the south outperform it under most windswell conditions. Bottom: reef. Season: fall through spring, with hurricane swells the wildcard. Consistency: medium at best. The rock outcrop that anchors the sandbar is also its enemy in bigger surf, as hurricane swells can scour the trough and kill the shape entirely, sometimes for weeks.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Lineup pressure here is minimal. Both sources rate localism as welcoming with effectively zero territorial tension. The mellow crowd dynamic makes it a decent option for intermediates wanting space to work without competitive pressure, though the fickle nature keeps the crowds self-selecting.

Access & Facilities

A car park sits close to the reef with a free roadside pull-in option nearby. Lifeguard coverage on the beach. Normal Florida sea life applies: sharks, jellyfish, sea lice. Water quality is clean. No significant pollution concerns.

Nearby Alternatives

When Coral Cove goes flat or turns to mush, the Jupiter Inlet North Jetty is a 0.75-mile walk south and produces rights on SE windchop with noticeably thinner crowds. Jupiter Inlet South Jetty offers a workable inside peak on smaller swells and an outside right when size builds.
