Crowd & Localism
Mod to busy on good winter swells, but the local vibe stays welcoming and relaxed. Respect in the water and a greeting in the carpark go a long way. Dawn patrol in midwinter will thin the pack considerably.
A long right-hand pointbreak peeling onto the beach at the edge of Taghazout, Panorama Point is one of the most accessible waves on Morocco's Atlantic coast. It works best on N to NW swell, 2-6ft, with NE winds keeping faces clean. Low tide produces fast, sectioning rides of 50-100m that reward experienced surfers who can link the sections, as the tide fills in, the wave mellows and opens up to intermediates and even progressing beginners. The lineup stays relatively mellow by Moroccan standards with a welcoming local vibe, though it can draw crowds given its central village location. Bottom: sand over point. Season: October through March. Consistency: reliable during North Atlantic swell season. A rip can develop on bigger days, but walking around the point sidesteps it entirely, worth knowing before you paddle out.

Two-minute walk from anywhere in Taghazout village. Parking is managed by a local guardian, pay the fee without complaint. Rental shops, cafes, and accommodation are all within walking distance. Water quality is generally clean but can cloud up after heavy rain.
Ankle Tag and Hash Point sit just up the coast and offer different aspects of the same swell window. If Panorama is maxing out, Killer Point to the north handles bigger NW swells with more punch.
