Fast, powerful beach peaks that pick up swell from a wide W-to-N window make Jack Beach one of the more consistent beachbreaks along the North Morocco Atlantic coast, roughly 20km north of Casablanca. SW-to-NW groundswell in the 3-6ft range is the sweet spot, with SE offshores grooming the banks into punchy a-frame peaks. Mid-to-high tide keeps the faces from closing out prematurely. Crowds are rarely an issue, making this a good call when the contest beaches south of Casablanca are packed. Bottom: sandy beach. Season: September through April. Consistency: high for the region. Bring a floaty shortboard or a fish on the smaller days when the peaks are playful, on bigger NW pulses a regular thruster in the 6ft to 6ft 4in range will handle the power without getting buried.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Weekend crowds are described as few surfers, and weekdays can be nearly empty. This is not a contest-circuit hotspot despite occasional contest use, so the lineups stay mellow. Standard respect applies: read who is out, don't drop in, keep a friendly attitude.

Access & Facilities

No formal parking and no facilities on site, so come prepared with water, snacks, and wax. The nearest services are in the surrounding town. No significant pollution or hazard concerns flagged, but check banks after heavy rain when runoff can temporarily affect water quality.

Nearby Alternatives

When Jack Beach is flat or onshore, the beachbreaks near Mohammedia and the contest beaches south of Casablanca at Plages 18 and 23 offer similar setups with more consistent amenities. Cap Spartel to the north and the Asilah area further up the coast are worth the drive on bigger NW swells.
