A punchy A-frame reef break on Fuerteventura's North Track, The Bubble (Hierro Right) delivers fast hollow rights and secondary lefts when N, NW, or W swells hit a triangular lava reef with real force. Waves come out of deep water and unload power quickly onto the reef, producing a steep, hollow take-off that rewards committed surfing. SE winds hold the face clean. Best at waist-high to double-overhead, with overhead-plus conditions firmly in advanced territory given the sharp lava bottom and the speed of the drop. The crowd is a genuine factor: the take-off zone is small and the spot draws a competitive lineup that can get mobbed on good swells. Bottom: lava reef. Season: October through March. Consistency: reliable when North Atlantic groundswells are running, which is often during winter. Arrive at first light on weekdays if you want breathing room in the lineup, and wear booties, the reef is unforgiving on wipeouts and during paddle-outs.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Expect a crowd most winter mornings. The take-off zone is compact, which intensifies competition for sets. The local vibe is described as competitive but manageable, respect priority, don't snake, and the water stays civil. Midweek dawn patrols give the best odds of a less-crowded session.

Access & Facilities

Drive the North Track on Fuerteventura's north coast and park at the overlook above the breaks. No facilities at the spot itself. Majanicho, a gentler beginner-friendly wave, sits just to the west and is visible from the same parking area.

Nearby Alternatives

When The Bubble is maxing out or too crowded, Hierro Left (El Hierro) immediately to the west offers a more forgiving walling left in small to medium swells. Further west along the North Track, Majanicho provides mellower beach peaks suitable for intermediate surfers stepping back from the intensity of the reef.
