When Roca Alta isn't firing, the beachbreaks at Playa Cocles offer mellow, beginner-friendly fun just down the road. For more serious surfers chasing power, Salsa Brava to the north is the benchmark of Caribbean Costa Rica and handles serious swell in cylindrical form.
