Crowd & Localism
Localism is non-existent. There are virtually no local surfers based on Formentera, and the wave attracts few visitors even when it's on. Empty lineups are the norm. No respect protocols needed beyond basic surf etiquette.
A long, mostly flat Med beach on the south coast of Formentera that wakes up only when a strong southerly windswell pushes through. Outside summer, S to SW swell in the 2-5ft range with a northerly offshore is the window to watch. Crowds are essentially a non-issue since the place is rarely surfed beyond the odd holidaymaker on a bodyboard. Bottom: sand. Season: autumn through spring when S windswells generate. Consistency: low. Come with low expectations and a fish or longboard to squeeze the most out of soft, often sectioney peaks. The beach has multiple access points and free parking, so if one section of the lineup is closing out, walk further along and find your own peak.

The beach stretches long enough that access points are spread across its length. Free parking is available. No surf-specific facilities on site, so bring your own water and wax. The nearest supplies are in the island's small towns.
Formentera has limited options overall, but when Migjorn is too small or too blown out, check the island's more exposed northern or eastern shores for whatever windswell is running. Ibiza, a short ferry ride away, has more consistent and higher-quality setups across a wider swell range.
