Three adjacent beaches share the Paguera name on Mallorca's southwest coast, and checking all three before committing is standard practice here. The middle beach tends to perform best but the peaks shift depending on sandbank and swell angle. A solid S, SW, or WSW swell is required to wake this stretch up, typically 3-6ft, with NE offshores cleaning up the faces. Mid-tide generally produces the most workable shape, though the break tolerates most tide stages without fully closing out. Intermediate surfers will feel at home on a good day, but those good days draw a friendly, social crowd that can pack the lineup quickly. Bottom: sand. Season: autumn through early spring. Consistency: medium. When a SW swell is forecast, dawn patrol here is worth the early alarm to beat the crowd before the beach fills.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

This is the most popular surf stretch in the area during a SW swell, and it shows. Expect a busy but generally welcoming lineup. Localism is not reported as a major issue, but crowded conditions mean patience and standard lineup etiquette go a long way. Weekday sessions are calmer.

Access & Facilities

Parking is metered along the beach road. Lifeguard cover in season. Residential surroundings mean some water quality concerns after heavy rainfall. The beach itself is well-serviced with nearby cafes and amenities. No long walk required.

Nearby Alternatives

When Paguera is flat or maxed out, the broader southwest coast has additional beachbreak options that respond to similar S and SW swell windows. Spots on the north coast activate in NE swell and Tramontana wind events, offering a complete change of conditions when the south is onshore.
