Shipwrecks is the most in-demand wave on Lembongan and pulls a noticeable crowd during the dry season peak. Razors is less consistent so it stays quieter, but don't expect solitude at either spot when swell is running. Local surf boats operate as an informal economy around the lineup. Respect the local taxi boat operators and the island community.
Arrive by speedboat from Sanur or Benoa Harbor, roughly 30-45 minutes. From shore you can paddle out but it's a long haul over exposed reef, and hiring a local surf boat to drop you directly at the lineup is the standard and sensible move. Watch for rusty shipwreck infrastructure, sea urchins, strong tidal currents, and seaweed farm stakes and nets on the inside. Water quality is relatively clean.
Lacerations sits close by and offers another sharp reef option when Shipwrecks is too crowded or the angle is wrong. Playgrounds on the inside provides a more forgiving wave for days when the main reefs are too heavy or tidal windows have closed.
