A sucky, hollow right-hand reef directly in front of Club Med at Nusa Dua, Sri Lanka fires when a solid S-SW swell wraps onto a short, straight coral platform facing NE. Best from 4-8ft, it needs genuine size to get going, and when Nusa Dua proper is maxing out, this is the spot to check. W and NW winds are offshore, glassy early mornings in the dry season can offer windows before the breeze swings. Low to mid tide is optimal. Intermediate to advanced surfers only. Expect a local crew the moment it switches on. Bottom: sharp, shallow reef. Season: October-April. Consistency: medium. Bring a spare board because the dredging entry section over shallow coral is unforgiving on equipment and bodies alike.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Locals know this wave intimately and are on it the second it starts breaking. Visiting surfers will find set waves hard to come by without patience and respect. Humility goes a long way here. Dawn patrol before the crowds organize is your best window for uncrowded opportunities.

Access & Facilities

Easy beach access in front of the Club Med resort. No dedicated parking or facilities at the break itself. The Nusa Dua resort strip is nearby for food and water. Hazards are the main story: shallow, sharp, unpredictable sections that punish poor positioning.

Nearby Alternatives

When Sri Lanka is too small or too crowded, the Nusa Dua area offers a fast right and a shallow left off the nearby reef corners around the two islands. Nusa Dua main break handles more size and is worth checking if the swell is building.
