The beach sits roughly 5km off the North West Coastal Highway near Geraldton. No dedicated parking or facilities are noted at the spot itself. Geraldton town has full amenities including fuel, food, and surf supplies. Water quality is generally clean with no flagged pollution concerns.
When Sunset Beach is blown out or lacking swell, Back Beach down to Tarcoola in Geraldton catches similar conditions and is the default local beachbreak. Coronation, 5km off the highway to the north, offers fun and more reliable beachbreak peaks. South of Geraldton, Greenough has rivermouth peaks worth a check when conditions are marginal elsewhere.
