SE trades blow offshore onto a NW-facing reef, meaning conditions align well through the April to November dry season window. S swell feeds the left, while the right needs a heavy W component to show its teeth. Bottom: submerged reef. Season: April to November. Consistency: medium. Choose your direction before paddling out, because mistaking the right for a warm-up wave is a fast way to get caught inside on dry reef.
A string of surf resorts sits directly in front of The Peak, which means boat traffic and consistent resort crowds throughout the season. It is sometimes crowded, particularly when swell is pumping. Choose your peak deliberately, paddling into the mellow left when the right is stacked with experienced surfers hunting the barrel.
No facilities at the break itself. Free parking nearby. The resort strip along this stretch provides accommodation, food, and board storage options within easy reach. No pollution or hazard concerns noted beyond the reef itself, which is sharp dead coral.
When The Peak is flat or blown out, Ujung Bocur to the south is the main regional drawcard and handles a wider swell range. Krui Left and Krui Right offer distinct options depending on swell angle. Mandiri beachbreak is worth checking on small, clean mornings when the reefs are too sloppy.
