Crowd & Localism
Always empty. There's no local surf crowd here, which is partly a quality signal. You'll likely have it to yourself, but that's not the draw most travellers are looking for.
A scrappy submerged reef near a Balinese-style temple on Lampung's south coast, Bali Village (Melasti Beach) delivers disorganised rights and lefts that rarely come together cleanly. The spot picks up S to W swell and sits offshore in NE winds, working across all tides in the 2-8ft range. The reef is shallow and scattered with bad rocks, making it a marginal option even for intermediates who can read a messy lineup. Bottom: submerged reef. Season: S to SW swell season. Consistency: medium at best. On small days with light winds it might produce a rideable section, but don't reroute a trip for it. The lineup is almost always empty, which tells you everything you need to know.

No facilities on site, no parking fee. The beach is named Melasti Beach locally. A large shipwreck, the Full King, once sat on the reef but is long gone. Bring your own water and food.
When Bali Village is unsatisfying, which is most of the time, continue south toward Ujung Bocor (Karang Nyimbor), the main pointbreak drawing travelling surfers to this stretch of coast. Way Jambu offers a heavier, more challenging setup for those willing to push further.
