A cluster of beach, reef, and point breaks spread across the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur, Todos Santos delivers serious Pacific swell on a canvas that ranges from playful beach peaks to heavy, consequence-filled reef sections. The spot responds best to W to NW groundswell in the 5-16ft range, with offshore winds from the E to SE and low to mid tide producing the cleanest conditions. Weekdays you may find a quiet lineup, weekends draw crowds that can make positioning competitive. Bottom: mixed reef and beach. Season: October through April. Consistency: solid winter swell season with occasional large pulses that clear out all but the experienced. If the surf jumps above head-high quickly, note where the channel is before you paddle out, because getting caught inside on a big set here is not a situation you want to improvise your way out of.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

Weekday sessions attract a handful of surfers and the vibe stays mellow. Weekends see a noticeable jump in numbers, particularly when swell is running. At big sizes the crowd self-selects: only surfers comfortable in serious surf tend to paddle out, which keeps the lineup functional. Respect the hierarchy that forms naturally in heavy conditions.

Access & Facilities

Todos Santos town sits roughly 45 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas. Multiple breaks are reachable by road, with parking available near the beach. The town itself has restaurants, accommodation, and basic supplies. Water quality is generally good but check after heavy rain. Hazards include urchins on the reef sections and strong rip currents when swell is up.

Nearby Alternatives

Los Cerritos, a short drive south, offers a more forgiving beach break better suited to intermediate surfers when Todos Santos is maxing out. San Pedrito point break is another option in the corridor worth checking when the swell angle or size isn't hitting Todos Santos right.
