San Pedrito delivers a powerful, rippable righthander off a rocky reef just north of Todos Santos on Baja's Pacific coast, about 45 minutes from Cabo San Lucas. NW swells from October through March push the wave into long, point-like walls that reward committed rail surfing at head-high to double-overhead. E winds groom the face. Mid tide is the sweet spot. Summer months shift things peakier and more forgiving, stretching the lineup out and breathing room into the session. Water sits warm enough for boardshorts most of the year, though upwelling from January through June can drop temps noticeably, so pack a light spring suit as backup. Bottom: rocky reef. Season: October to March for size and shape. Consistency: moderate to high in swell season. When it's on, every local and expat within range shows up, so visitors should read the room, surf respectfully, and consider scoring it on smaller mid-week days to avoid the sharpest end of the pecking order.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

When swell arrives, locals and expats fill the water fast and visitors move down the pecking order. Localism is real but manageable if you surf politely, wait your turn, and don't paddle around people. Dawn patrol and smaller days are your best window for breathing room.

Access & Facilities

Follow signs off Mex 1 through Todos Santos. Parking sits right on the beach, no long walk required. Booties are worth throwing in the bag given the sharp reef. Todos Santos town is close for food, water, and supplies.

Nearby Alternatives

Los Cerritos and La Pastora, both within the Todos Santos jurisdiction, offer alternatives when San Pedrito is maxed out or too competitive. Los Cerritos in particular is friendlier and more forgiving on smaller swells.
