It handles E through S swells from 2ft to overhead-plus, with offshore westerly winds cleaning up the face. Thick, fast walls with feathering lips reward aggressive carving and bashing rather than deep barrel hunting, though sand formation over the reef fingers plays a decisive role in overall quality on any given day. A short left can emerge off the peak when the swell is more easterly. Works at all tides, which adds to its consistency. When Ponta da Belina is maxed out or too crowded, the right wall at Praia de Carapebus offers a ripable option on E swells. Setiba Pina to the south sits inside a nature reserve and produces punchy A-frames with cleaner water and a quieter atmosphere.
