Mid to high tide is mandatory: low tide exposes the rocky reef and the wave becomes genuinely dangerous, shifting from fast right-hand walls to a hazardous shorebreak. This is intermediate-to-advanced territory, and the take-off zone is compact and permanently crowded since it is widely regarded as the best break in the area and hosts high-level pro contests.
