A rivermouth beachbreak tucked inside the Souss-Massa National Park, about 30km south of Agadir, where the Oued Massa pushes sandbars into the Atlantic and generates punchy A-frame peaks. SW to N swell, 2-6ft, hits the banks cleanest in autumn through early spring when easterly offshores groom the faces before midday onshores take over. The park setting keeps the lineup essentially empty on most days, a rarity this close to Agadir. Intermediate surfers will find enough power and shape to stay busy, but the short ride lengths on average sets and the remote dirt-road access filter out casual visitors. Bottom: beach, rivermouth sandbar. Season: Sep-Apr. Consistency: high for the size range. Get in the water early, as easterly offshores typically deteriorate by midday.

About this break

What it's actually like

Crowd & Localism

One of the emptiest accessible breaks in the Agadir region. The national park buffer, rough access track, and lack of facilities mean most days you'll share the lineup with a handful of surfers at most. Localism is not a reported issue. Respect the nature reserve and the flamingo habitat along the estuary.

Access & Facilities

Head south from Agadir on the main Tiznit road and find the dirt track to Massa and Sidi Rbat, roughly 30km from Agadir. Expect 3km of rough off-road driving or a 1km walk along the river from the resort fence. No parking infrastructure, no facilities at the break. There is a hotel at the Sidi Rbat nature resort nearby. Carry water and food.

Nearby Alternatives

If the Massa mouth is blown out or sandless, the beachbreaks and setups around the fishing villages south of Agadir offer similar autumn-to-spring windows. Taghazout and its surrounding pointbreaks, roughly 30km north, provide longer rides when swell is mid-to-large and the Sidi Rbat banks are maxing out.
