About this camp
Gecko Cabanas is a small boutique camp just off the main beach road in Arugam Bay, offering a quieter alternative to the larger surf hotels. The property has 6-10 en-suite cabanas set around a garden, with a small open-air restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Western food. The scale keeps it personal: the owners know most guests by name within a day and can arrange surf guides to Pottuvil Point, Crocodile Rock, and other breaks in the area. Suitable for solo travellers, couples, and surfers who want a quieter base without giving up proximity to the point.
