Crowd & Localism
Weekdays the lineup is essentially empty. Weekends see a few surfers. Localism is not flagged as an issue, but the wave is short, meaning a small group can quickly make things competitive. Give respect and read the rotation.
A punchy reef left breaking off Fusi on Samoa's coast, Pebbles delivers short, hollow barrels when regional swell fills in from the south. It wants S to SW swell in the 5-6ft range, mid to high tide, and offshore winds to clean up its face. The wave is reef over rock, so it rewards surfers who can read fast, bowly lefts and manage a shallow exit. Crowds are light on weekdays and rarely exceed a handful of surfers on weekends, but the wave is short-lived, ending inside 50m on average days and stretching to roughly 100-150m on better swells. Bottom: reef. Season: April through October. Consistency: moderate, swell-dependent. If the swell climbs above 6ft, the break tends to close out and flood with whitewater, at which point the nearby break known locally as Guns near Aphrodite Beach is the better call.

Look for the Beach Lodge in Fusi as your landmark to find the break. The Wreck restaurant and hotel nearby serves food and drinks including hot chocolate, useful after a session in cooler-than-expected water. No surf rental infrastructure is apparent here, so come self-sufficient.
When Pebbles maxes out in larger swell, Guns near Aphrodite Beach handles the size better and is the go-to upgrade. When swell is small across the region, Pebbles reportedly holds rideable conditions longer than surrounding spots, making it the default local option.
