Getting Here

Arriving in Padang
Plan to arrive in Padang, West Sumatra, at least one day before your scheduled check-in. For both international and domestic flights into Padang Airport (PDG), we recommend booking an early arrival to allow for potential delays.

We’re happy to help arrange transfers to your chosen Padang hotel for the overnight stay, including a Meet-and-Greet airport service. We recommend the Mercure Hotel Padang.

Mentawai Fast Ferry
If you’re taking the Mentawai Fast Ferry, the boat to Tua Pejat departs at 11 a.m. Please allow time for us to transport your boards, luggage, and gear — our staff will assist with all baggage fees, loading, and unloading in both Padang and Tua Pejat.

We can also arrange your return transfer to the airport at the end of your trip, similar to your arrival setup.

Transfer to Baha Baha Mentawai – Villa Sailo, Sipora Island
There are four transport options from Padang to Katiet:

• Private charter boat
• Private charter plane (surfboards allowed)
• Mentawai Fast Ferry (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday departures)
• Public aircraft (Tuesdays & Fridays only; no surfboards allowed)

If you’re traveling via the Mentawai Fast Ferry, you’ll need to stay overnight in Padang. The following morning, depart your hotel by 6:00 a.m. to reach the Fast Ferry Terminal in time for the 7:00 a.m. check-in.

The ferry ride to Tua Pejat (Sipora Island) takes approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours on a 200-seat vessel equipped with toilets and a snack bar. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you and take you on a 1.5-hour scenic drive to Katiet, followed by a short boat transfer to Villa Sailo.
